Government College Gurdaspur, under the able guidance of Principal G.S. Kalsi, celebrated Punjabi maah – dedicated to Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat – and organised “Natak mela” in collaboration with Natali Rang Manch Gurdaspur & Indian People Theatre Association (IPTA), Punjab, District Gurdaspur. The program was dedicated to the 107th Anniversary of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha. there were presentations by Dr Sahib Singh –  story of a Dalit “Latchhu Kabarhia”. Student participants from the Music dept of Govt College Gurdaspur presented a Punjabi folk orchestra and folk song. Students of dept of Punjabi staged a play. There were presentations from students of Akal academy, Tibber, Pt M.L.S.D.College, Gurdaspur. Dr Baldev Singh Kandola, president of Punjabi Vikas Manch U.K., Founder of Gurmukhi keyboard was the Chief guest.
